# SwingPal Design Guide

SwingPal is a discreet conversation coach for couples (roughly 35–60) curious about swinging or ethical non-monogamy. It is NOT a dating app, hookup app, community feed, or matching service. It is a private space for two partners to explore wishes, boundaries, jealousy and expectations — together.

## Brand positioning

## Core message
Not a dating app. No matching. No public profile. No messages from strangers. Just a private space for the two of you.

## Feel
Discreet · adult · warm · sensual but never explicit · safe · premium · emotionally intelligent · calm.

## Avoid
Pornographic visuals, cheesy swinger clichés, neon nightclub aesthetics, generic dating-app patterns, clinical therapy-app tone, cold SaaS dashboards, robot/AI clichés, hearts / flames / padlocks as brand symbols.

## Typography
- One family only: Manrope — warm, tydelig, moderne.
- Weights: 400 (body), 600 (emphasis / UI), 700 (headings). Never more than three weights.
- Prioriter lesbarhet over kreativ typesetting. Never all-caps except small eyebrow labels.

## Layout
Mobile-first. One clear action per screen. Rounded cards 20–28px. Soft shadows. Subtle warm gradients. Generous whitespace. Progressive disclosure.

## Components
- Primary button: champagne background, deep plum text, pill shape.
- Secondary button: transparent with plum border.
- Danger: muted red, used rarely.
- Cards: 24px radius, warm surface, subtle border and shadow.
- Boundary map: green/yellow/red with text labels — never color alone.

## Tone of voice
Warm, adult, non-judgmental. Norwegian bokmål by default.

Words we avoid:
- "Match", "swipe", "hookup", "spice things up"
- "Risk score", "mismatch", "failure", "low compatibility"
- Anything explicit, judgmental, or clinical.

## Product principles
- No matching. No public profile. No inbox. No strangers.
- Both partners answer privately; results reveal after both are done.
- Insight is conversation guidance, not a verdict.
- Compass model (Nysgjerrighet · Trygghet · Grenseklarhet · Samstemthet) — never one big total score.

When designing or writing for SwingPal:
- Use semantic CSS tokens (--plum, --champagne, --rose, --cream, --ink), never hardcoded hex.
- Font: Manrope only, weights 400 / 600 / 700. Never Poppins, never neon or club aesthetics.
- Norwegian bokmål, warm and adult tone.
- Default to the calmest, most discreet variant.
- Never depict explicit imagery or generic dating-app patterns.
